Friday was our last full day in Nashville and the roads were still very icy and the sidewalks were not all clear. We found a good place to walk outdoors. Thom wanted an oil change for the car and the Jiffy Lube was close to Vanderbilt University. The sidewalks on campus were mostly clear of snow and ice. So we went for a walk around and through campus while the oil was changed. It is a really beautiful campus with interesting brickwork on the buildings. It was a nice walk.
We also had free beer tokens for ML Rose, so we went back for some waffle fries and beer for an late afternoon snack. It was a 1/2 mile walk there. It was not as crowded as the other night and they have good craft beers on tap.
We will clean up on Saturday and leave to go back to my nieces around noon; once we know that Ryan and Pilar's flight is on it's way Nashville.
